To celebrate Mother's Month, our curatorial vision speaks from a place of feminine creative force — the beauty and enchantment of art made by women's hands.
LILIANA SANCHES is an artist inspired by cinema and literature, placing focus on feminine sensuality, the delicacy of gesture, and the memories of the dreaming girl she carries within. ANDREIA FALQUETO plays with diverse painting techniques to reinterpret everyday scenes in direct dialogue with magical realism. LUCIANA FARIA, inspired by the forces of nature and the passage of time, works with combinations of embroidery and painting, and embroidery and collage — the blending of textile and paint reinforcing the presence of texture in her landscapes. ALEJANDRA COZ ROSENFELD who has built a self-healing process for the loss of her mother with the series Healing is a Biological Process. GABRIELA BRITO, in turn, reconfigures the genealogy of the women who came before us — those who "pass the ball forward," sharing with new generations knowledge that cannot be learned in any school. Speaking in very different visual languages, these artists are united by their drive to reclaim feminine protagonism in the visual arts.
