Venezuelan visual artist and designer, Gabriela Brito is a guest collaborator of Galería Sur. She works primarily in drawing and painting. She holds a degree in Strategic Design and Management from Parsons The New School for Design (New York) and postgraduate qualifications in Museum and Cultural Heritage Management (UIC, Barcelona) and Curatorship in Digital Arts (ESDi – Universitat Ramon Llull, Barcelona).
Her work takes the female figure as its point of departure, building scenes that move between observation and imagination. Through everyday gestures, literary references, and symbolic associations, she develops a personal iconography that reflects on presence, repetition, and the ways we inhabit time. Her paintings invite slow looking — the kind that rewards collectors who return to a work and find something new each time.
